Foundation Expected to Raise Record Amount in a Single Weekend with Initiatives

Nashville, Tenn. (July 18, 2018) - The Nashville Predators Foundation is hosting their first-ever Weekend of Giving, Friday, Sept. 7 - Monday, Sept. 10. The four-day weekend-long event will highlight four key Foundation events and raise money for 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund presented by Twice Daily at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, Make-a-Wish Middle Tennessee, Nashville Predators Foundation and Peterson Foundation for Parkinson's.

Preds Sign Goaltender Juuse Saros to Three-Year Contract

23-Year-Old Goaltender Named to NHL's All-Rookie Team After Posting 11-5-7 Record

Nashville, Tenn. (July 16, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the team has signed restricted free-agent goaltender Juuse Saros to a three-year, $4.5 million contract. Saros will make $1.5 million in each of the three seasons.

Saros, 23 (4/19/95), was named to the NHL's All-Rookie Team after posting an 11-5-7 record with a 2.44 goals-against average, .925 save percentage and three shutouts in 2017-18. The 5-foot-11 goaltender closed out the regular season with the third-best save percentage in franchise history, trailing only Pekka Rinne's .927 in 2017-18 and .930 in 2010-11. From Nov. 4 to the end of the regular season, Saros led NHL goaltenders in save percentage (.935) and was fourth in goals-against average (2.19). He set the Predators record for most saves in a shutout with 46 on Dec. 14 at Edmonton and became the first goalie in team history to tally multiple 40-plus save shutouts in the same season. Saros started the second half of all 11 of Nashville's back-to-backs this season and went 8-1-2, with five of those victories coming on the road. He appeared in four playoff games for the Predators last season, allowing only two goals on 42 shots faced for a 1.05 goals-against average and .952 save percentage.

Predators Sign Ryan Hartman to One-Year Contract

23-Year-Old Forward had Six Points in 21 Games with Nashville Last Season

Nashville, Tenn. (July 16, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the team has signed restricted free-agent forward Ryan Hartman to a one-year contract worth $875,000.

Hartman, 23 (9/20/94), had six points (3g-3a) and 14 penalty minutes in 21 games last season with Nashville after being acquired from Chicago on Feb. 26. He recorded a combined 31 points (11g-20a) in 78 games with the Predators and Blackhawks during the 2017-18 regular season, his second as a full-time NHL player. Hartman featured in nine playoff games for the Predators and tallied two goals and an assist, including the game-winning goal in Game 2 of Nashville's Western Conference First Round series against Colorado. The 6-foot, 181-pound winger notched the game-winning goal in his first contest with the team on Feb. 27 in Nashville's 6-5 win at Winnipeg.

Nashville, Tenn. (July 12, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Thursday that Greg Rallo has been hired as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Admirals, Nashville's American Hockey League affiliate. The move comes after Karl Taylor was named head coach of the Admirals on June 29. 

The 36-year-old native of Gurnee, Ill., recently completed a 12-year professional playing career that included stops in the NHL, AHL, ECHL and the German professional league. He spent last season with the AHL's Texas Stars - where Taylor was an assistant coach - and tallied 11 points (5g-6a) in 29 games.

Preds Announce Partnership with Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated

Partnership Sees Coca-Cola Products, Dr Pepper Come to Bridgestone Arena Concession Stands

Nashville, Tenn. (July 9, 2018) - The Nashville Predators have announced a 10-year partnership with Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, one of the largest long-term deals in the team's history, which officially launched July 1.

"We pride ourselves on listening intently to our fans, and to be able to provide Coca-Cola and Dr Pepper products inside Smashville is another great example of the connection with our fans," Nashville Predators President and CEO Sean Henry said. "The No. 1 professional sports franchise partnering with the No. 1 soft drink is a relationship that our fans asked for and deserve."

Coca-Cola Consolidated plans to feature Dr Pepper as the official soft drink of the Predators in addition to other traditional Coca-Cola offerings, which are set to make their official debut at the Sam Smith concert on July 7, the next public Bridgestone Arena event. The partnership was announced at the 'Let Freedom Sing: Nashville July 4th Fireworks' celebration that took place downtown and featured a Dr Pepper activation on Bridgestone Arena's plaza and an appearance by Preds defenseman Matt Irwin.

Nashville Signs Zach Magwood to Entry-Level Contract

Nashville, Tenn. (July 3, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Tuesday that the club has signed forward Zach Magwood to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Magwood, 20 (4/22/98), participated in the team's 2018 Development Camp in Nashville, notching a hat trick in Friday's Future Stars Game at Bridgestone Arena. He was fourth on the Ontario Hockey League's Barrie Colts in points last season with 59 (27g-32a), his third campaign with the team. He set career highs in games played (65), goals (27), assists (32), points (59) and plus-minus (+27) at the OHL level and helped Barrie claim the Central Division title for the second time in three seasons. The 5-foot-10 center has 106 points (52g-54a) in 173 career OHL games for Barrie.

Predators Sign Forward Colin Blackwell to Two-Year Contract

Center Tallied 45 Points in 61 Games with AHL's Rochester Last Season

(July 3, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Tuesday that the club has signed forward Colin Blackwell to a two-year, two-way contract that will see him make $650,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 at the AHL level in 2018-19 and $700,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 at the AHL level in 2019-20.

Blackwell, 25 (4/28/93), tallied 45 points (17g-28a) in 61 games with the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans in 2017-18, the most among all forwards on the team. His 17 goals tied for second on the Americans and he led his team's forwards in assists during his second professional season. The 5-foot-9 center made his pro debut in 2016-17 with the AHL's San Jose Barracuda and went on to record four goals and seven assists in 57 games, helping them capture the Pacific Division title and reach the Western Conference Final. Blackwell has recorded six points (4g-2a) in 18 playoff games at the AHL level, including three points (2g-1a) in three contests with the Americans last season.

Nashville, Tenn. (July 2, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the club has signed forward Zac Rinaldo to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $300,000 at the AHL level for 2018-19.

Rinaldo, 28 (6/15/90), spent last season with the Arizona Coyotes, recording seven points (5g-2a) and 44 penalty minutes in 53 games. It was his sixth NHL season - he has amassed 34 points (14g-20a) and 699 penalty minutes in 328 career games since making his debut in 2011. Prior to joining the Coyotes for the 2017-18 season, he had stints with the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers and the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins and Adirondack Phantoms.

Nashville, Tenn. (July 1, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Sunday that the club has signed defenseman Jarred Tinordi to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $325,000 at the AHL level in 2018-19.

Tinordi, 26 (2/20/92), recorded 21 points (5g-16a) and had a +19 rating with the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2017-18, helping them reach the Calder Cup Playoffs for the 16th-straight season. It was Tinordi's best season as a pro, statistically, as he set career highs in goals (5), assists (16), points (21) and plus-minus (+19), the latter of which ranked second among team blueliners. The 6-foot-6 native of Burnsville, Minn., has 63 points (12g-51a) in 290 games at the AHL level, spent with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Tucson, St. John's and Hamilton. Tinordi was an alternate captain for the Tucson Roadrunners during the 2016-17 season.

Predators Sign Forward Rocco Grimaldi to One-Year Contract

Forward Has 161 Points in 237 Career AHL Games

Nashville, Tenn. (July 1, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Sunday that the club has signed forward Rocco Grimaldi to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 at the AHL level in 2018-19.

Grimaldi, 25 (2/8/93), spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage, where he recorded 31 points (15g-16a) in 49 games. He also skated in six games for the Colorado Avalanche, posting a goal and two assists and recording his second-career two-point game (1g-1a) on Oct. 28, 2017, vs. Chicago. The 5-foot-6 forward is a veteran of 237 AHL games, in which he has tallied 76 goals and 85 assists for the Rampage and Portland Pirates since entering the league in 2014-15. Grimaldi logged a career-high and team-high 31 goals and 55 points for the Rampage two seasons ago and had a career-best 28 assists in his rookie AHL season. He made his NHL debut with the Panthers on Nov. 1, 2014, and posted six points (4g-2a) in 27 games with the club from 2014-16 before being traded to the Colorado Avalanche.
