Nashville, Tenn. (July 14, 2009) – The Nashville Predators will host a Skate of the Union event for fans from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 at the Sommet Center.
The event will feature a “Skate of the Union” address by Predators players, General Manager David Poile, Chairman David Freeman and President of Business Operations Ed Lang on the present and future of the Nashville Predators. The event will highlight recent Predators 2009 NHL Draft picks, free agent signings and overview of the ‘09-10 team and season schedule. Poile, Freeman and Lang will speak with fans, answer questions and address issues on everything from hockey operations to the business side of the organization – with a focus on how current initiatives will impact the future of the Nashville Predators. Pete Weber will moderate and each panelist will address fans for 3-5 minutes and then the floor will open to questions from the audience.
The event will also feature appearances by Predators forward and Masterton Trophy winner Steve Sullivan
. The Masterton Trophy will also be on display for photographs. Predators prospects Mark Dekanich
and Cody Franson
are also scheduled to make an appearance.
Also featured will be a used-equipment sale - where fans will have the opportunity to purchase game and practice-worn equipment – a chance for autographs with Predators players, opportunities to purchase season tickets and a live broadcast from 104.5 The Zone. Seating areas will be tagged and partial season ticket packages will also be available during this event.
