The Predators Foundation is dedicated to improving the Nashville community; whether that is through providing grants, or even building a playground. The Predators Foundation has sponsored and funded a KaBOOM! playground build that is to take place September 7 at Bellshire Elementary school.
KaBOOM! is a national non-profit that is dedicated to saving play. According to the KaBOOM! Web site, they aim to create great play spaces through the participation and leadership of communities. Ultimately, they envision a place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
“The franchise gets just as much out of the build in helping the community as Bellshire does with a new playground.” Sean Henry, President of the Predators, said. “The build is a great way to channel support and money of players, fans, and sponsors of the team by giving back. It’s not only the right thing to do, but the responsible thing to do.”
From staff members, to players, to fans, the Predators are dedicated to giving the students a place at Bellshire where they can have fun and play safely. What normally takes days, with the help of a few hundred volunteers, will be accomplished in less than 24 hours. The day will start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
