Preds Set Record Numbers At 2009 Fangtastic 5K

The Preds hosted their annual Fangtastic 5K run/walk on Saturday with record participation. Approximately 2000 people took part in the event, making the Fangtastic 5K the largest 5K in the Middle Tennessee area!

Caitlin Latimer and Ryan Snellen took home the overall male and female titles and each received a great vacation package from Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. Other prizes included Mapco, Best Buy, and Commerce Street Grille (located in the Renaissance Hotel) gift cards.

GetFitTN was on hand with fun exercises and games for all ages. Tennessee Department of Health Commissioner Susan R. Cooper started the race with the help of GNASH.

Pete Weber and Terry Crisp were on hand throughout the morning to greet runners and serve as emcees.

After completing the 5K, participants were treated to bagels and fruit provided by Panera Bread and bottled water courtesy of Kimbro Water.
