Preds Reduce Roster to 41, Re-Assign 6

- Blum returns to juniors, five others to Milwaukee, roster reduced to 41 -

Nashville, Tenn. (September 27, 2008) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forwards Geoff Peters, Mark Santorelli, Nick Spaling and Kelsey Wilson, as well as defenseman Teemu Laakso, to Milwaukee of the American Hockey League. Additionally, defenseman Jonathon Blum was returned to his junior team (Vancouver, WHL).

A total of 25 forwards, 13 defensemen and four goaltenders remain in camp.

The Predators will practice Sunday, Sept. 28 through Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Centennial Sportsplex. On Thursday, Oct. 2, Nashville (1-2-0) will play its third and final home preseason game against the Carolina Hurricanes (0-3-0). Game time is slated for 7 p.m. at the Sommet Center.
