Preds recall Smithson from Milwaukee

Nashville, Tenn. (November 7, 2005) - Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Jerred Smithson from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. 

Smithson, 26 (2/4/79), has appeared in eight games for the Admirals this season, registering 12 penalty minutes.  The 6-3, 194-pound center has appeared in 30 career NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings, notching three assists (0g-3a-3pts). 

The Predators' roster stands at 22 with two players (Adam Hall and Scott Walker) on injured reserve.

The Predators (8-2-3) host the Edmonton Oilers (8-6-1) on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. CT at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  The game will be broadcast locally on 104.5-FM The Zone.  Tickets for Tuesday night's game are available and may be purchased at the Gaylord Entertainment Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, which include Kroger, Tower Records and Hecht's, or by calling (615) 770-PUCK.
