– Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Cal O’Reilly from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. This is the first NHL recall for O’Reilly, Nashville’s fourth choice, 150th overall (fifth round), in the 2005 Entry Draft. O'Reilly is expected to make his NHL debut in tonight's game against Detroit.

O’Reilly, 22 (9/30/86), ranks second in the AHL in assists (46), and 10th in points (57). With his first of two assists in last night’s 4-2 Milwaukee victory over Quad City, the Toronto, Ont., native notched his 200th AHL point, and now has 201 points (45g-156a) in 217 games. The 6-0, 187-pound center was one of three Admirals to play in the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic on Jan. 26. In 80 games a season ago, O’Reilly ranked third in AHL assists (63) and fifth in points (79).
The Predators play the last of a franchise-record 10 home games in the month of February tonight when they host the defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings at 7 p.m. CT at the Sommet Center.
