Preds recall Goehring, reassign Klien

Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced Friday that the club has recalled goaltender Karl Goehring (KAHRL GAIR-ihng) from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League and reassigned defenseman Kevin Klein to Milwaukee.  

Goehring, 28 (8/23/78), has appeared in eight games for the Admirals this season, posting a record of 3-4-0 with a 3.60 goals-against average.  The AHL veteran signed as a free agent with Nashville on July 17, 2006 after splitting last season between Jokerit Helsinki (Finland) and San Antonio of the AHL.  A standout at North Dakota (WCHA) from 1997-2001, the Apple Valley, Minn. native went on to play for Syracuse (AHL), where he registered at least 17 wins in three of four seasons (2001-05) with the Crunch.

Nashville (14-5-2) hosts the Detroit Red Wings (12-5-3) on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. CT at the Gaylord Entertainment Center Center.
