Preds Reassign Defenseman Alexander Sulzer to Milwaukee

Nashville, Tenn. (January 17, 2009) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that defenseman Alexander Sulzer has been reassigned to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Forward Jason Arnott and defenseman Shea Weber participated in morning skate this morning and both are expected to play in tonight's game against the Atlanta Thrashers. Arnott has missed the past three games, while Weber missed the last contest.

Sulzer, 24 (5/30/84), made his NHL debut on Thursday at Montreal, becoming the first German-born player to suit up for the Predators. The Kaufbeuren, Germany native ranks third among AHL defensemen in points (29).

The Predators return to home ice for the first time in a week tonight at 7 p.m. CT at the Sommet Center when they host the Atlanta Thrashers.
