As part of the annual community outreach during the holiday season, several Nashville Predators players and employees delivered 50 food boxes stuffed with a turkey and all the side items necessary for a full Thanksgiving dinner to families and organizations in the Nashville Area.
Greg de Vries and Jed Ortmeyer visited Monroe-Harding and a family in Nashville, while Ryan Suter
and Ville Koistinen went to Magdalene House, Mending Hearts and House of Mercy which all serve as residential recovery centers for women. In addition to providing meal items the players warmly greeted women by signing autographs, taking pictures and handing out Predators t-shirts, gloves and mugs in hopes to brighten their holiday season. Ryan Suter
fondly recalled his past Thanksgivings while contributing during this event.
"Thanksgiving is a big American holiday, for me it was a no-brainer when they asked us who wanted to help pass out turkeys." Suter said.
Predators staff also joined in the holiday festivities by delivering over 25 turkeys to families in the Napier Community and to Morning Star Sanctuary.
The turkeys were donated by Levy Restaurants and the food boxes were prepared by Publix of Brentwood. Check out the photo gallery to see all the day's events. Check out the photo gallery and video to see all the day's events.
