They didn't get both, but the Predators took one at home, and now they'll look to do at least that on the road in Winnipeg as their series with the Jets shifts north for Games 3 and 4.
It was Kevin Fiala who struck in double overtime in Game 2 to give Nashville a 5-4 victory and a 1-1 tie in the Round Two, following up a 4-1 defeat in Game 1. Sunday's contest provided the kind of hockey just about everyone had predicted would transpire in this series - up-and-down, back-and-forth action not for the faint of heart.
Now that one of those outings has happened, the Predators expect more of the same in Manitoba as they face the club with the League's best home record in their own barn. But the Predators owned the NHL's top road record this season, including a dramatic win in Winnipeg at the end of February.

"Getting on the road is always fun as a team," Preds center Nick Bonino said. "You go out to dinner, there's not really any distractions, you're there for hockey; just get up and treat it business as usual. We have four lines that can really go and don't worry about matchups or anything, we just play and have some good results."

Last Time Out:
Fiala ultimately played the role of overtime hero, but Ryan Johansen tallied twice in regulation and Filip Forsberg dished out three assists in the win. P.K. Subban and Viktor Arvidsson also found the back of the net for the Preds, while goaltender Pekka Rinne made 46 saves in the win, a postseason career high.
Forsberg now leads the Predators with nine points in these playoffs, followed by Johansen, Colton Sissons and Austin Watson who all have seven apiece. Forsberg, Johansen and Watson are all tied for the team lead with four goals; Sissons, Fiala and Arvidsson all have three each.
The Opposition:
Mark Scheifele scored twice for the Jets in Game 2 and continues to lead them in scoring with eight goals and 10 points in these playoffs. Blake Wheeler and Dustin Byfuglien have seven points apiece; Paul Stastny and Patrik Laine have six

Game 2 Highlights:
Kevin Fiala became the third player in Preds playoff history to score the game-winning goal in a multiple-overtime game, joining Matt Halischuk (Game 2 of the 2011 second round at Vancouver) and Mike Fisher (Game 4 of the 2016 second round versus San Jose).
Fiala also became the first player in franchise history to tally multiple OT goals in the playoffs. Per Elias, Fiala is the fourth player in the last 30 years to score two OT goals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs before turning 22.
Nashville's top line of Ryan Johansen (2g), Filip Forsberg (3a) and Viktor Arvidsson (1g-2a) combined for eight points (3g-5a) in Game 2 versus Winnipeg. Through eight playoff games, the JOFA line has a shot-attempts for percentage of 58.88 and has outscored its opponents 7-2 at even strength.
