After suffering a 5-3 loss in Game 3, the Nashville Predators will look to bounce back tonight against the Colorado Avalanche in Game 4 with a chance to take a 3-1 series lead.
Three goals from the Avalanche in the opening period of Game 3 put the Preds in a hole, but they were encouraged by their play in the final 30 or so minutes of regulation that saw them score three goals of their own. Still, the Predators know they must have a better start in Game 4, and they're confident they'll be able to do so.
"The confidence in this locker room, we always try to play for each other and I think it's accountability," goaltender Pekka Rinne said. "We can talk all day long, but we have to come out tonight] and be ready… I have no doubt in my head we're going to have a strong game [tonight]."

The Predators hit the ice for a 35-minute practice on Tuesday with plenty of positivity to go along with the session. After the fact, players spoke of the necessary mentality in the postseason - never too high after a win and never too low after a loss. Tonight now provides an opportunity to go up 3-1 in the series against the Avalanche, a chance the Preds plan on seizing.
"You have to stay even keeled with everything you do," defenseman Mattias Ekholm said. "One night, you're going to feel not so well and the next night you're going to feel great, so it's just trying to keep more nights on the great side. For right now, just keep it even and we know we have a great chance [tonight]."

Last Time Out:
Ryan Johansen, Colton Sissons and Austin Watson all tallied for Nashville in Game 3. Watson has tallied in each of the three contests in the playoffs thus far and is tied with Sissons and Johansen for the team scoring lead with four points apiece. Johansen, Sissons and Filip Forsberg have each scored twice in the series, and all but four Predators skaters who have played in the series have at least one point.
The Opposition:
Nathan MacKinnon scored twice in Game 3 and leads the Avalanche with three goals and five points in the series. Gabriel Landeskog also has five points to his name, and he, Blake Comeau and Gabriel Bourque have two goals each. Jonathan Bernier has allowed at least three goals in each of his three games of the series.

Series Notables:
With an assist on Ryan Johansen's goal in Game 3, Filip Forsberg became Nashville's all-time leader in playoff points with 29 (17g-12a). Forsberg passed David Legwand (13g-15a) and Shea Weber (13g-15a) on the franchise's all-time playoff points list.
Including the final game of the regular season on April 7 versus Columbus, Watson has scored in four-straight games for the first time in his career. Watson is one goal from matching his career playoff high of four, which he set in 22 games last postseason.
The Preds are 5-1 all-time in a series when up 2-1 after Game 3, most recently in the 2017 Western Conference Final against Anaheim.
