If you’ve ever wanted to fire a slap shot with Shea Weber’s stick, wear Mike Fisher’s gloves or sport Pekka Rinne’s pads, you’re in luck.
The Nashville Predators are set to host their annual used equipment sale on Saturday at Ford Ice Center, in conjunction with the team’s Development Camp presented by Holiday Inn Express and Suites of Antioch.
“It’s a cool opportunity for fans to get some of the equipment that the team uses during the year,” Predators Head Equipment Manager Pete Rogers said. “We give the fans a special opportunity to wear an actual piece of equipment that’s game used, and for a decent price too, usually less than the original price of the item. It’s a great way for the team to give back to the fans.”
There are a number of items already available in the Preds Pro Shop at Bridgestone Arena, but Saturday’s event will feature a slew of new items priced to move.
In addition to the usual stock of sticks, skates, gloves and other equipment, fans can look for the opportunity to purchase three sets of training camp jerseys. Navy, white and grey jerseys will be available from the last 10 years, a unique item that has never been for sale before.
Season-ticket holders will have the first chance to browse and purchase the items beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday morning before the sale is open to the general public at 10 a.m. Because of the positive response to the sale in past years, there will be a five stick limit per person.
After the shopping is complete, fans can stick around for the conclusion of Development Camp, a scrimmage at 11 a.m. at Ford Ice Center.
