Preds Acquire Conditional Draft Pick From Washington

Instant Analysis: Stefishen Trade
Taylor Stefishen opened his prep career at Ohio State University, scoring eight goals and 21 points in his first two years with the Buckeyes. A promising recruit, Stefishen missed much of his freshman campaign due to a bout of mono and never seemed to re-gain traction at Ohio State. At the end of the '09-10 season -- Stefishen's sophomore year -- he left the OSU program and spent last season with Prince George in the WHL, scoring 24 goals and 67 points in 68 WHL games. Since he left school early, the Preds were facing a deadline to either sign Stefishen or lose his rights; he didn't appear to fit in the organization's plans so the Preds opted to trade his rights rather than lose him outright.
