Predators to Appear on NBCSN Four Times in 2015-16

A record-setting season in 2014-15 for the Nashville Predators combined with Music City hosting the 2016 NHL® All-Star Game and NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ this coming January have worked to shift the spotlight toward the Nashville Predators in a variety of ways. NBC Sports Network announcing its content schedule for the 2015-16 campaign only helps to illustrate that fact.

Starting with their first appearance on Oct. 28 versus the San Jose Sharks, the Preds will have four regular season games air on NBCSN, following a single contest being shown on the network in 2014-15. NBCSN’s slate featuring the Predators will focus on four meetings against Western Conference foes, the centerpiece being two games against the  2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, whom the Preds faced off against during the 2015 Western Conference Quarterfinals.

“With the Predators coming off a 104-point season while playing in the League’s toughest division, it’s exciting to know that a greater audience will get to see Nashville battle their recent playoff opponent in the Blackhawks and also the St. Louis Blues,” Nashville Predators Senior Vice President of Communications Gerry Helper said. “Nashville’s elite players like Shea Weber and Pekka Rinne, along with emerging stars like Roman Josi and Filip Forsberg, are players the rest of the country deserves to see.

“I’m especially excited the nation will get to see the passion of Smashville on January 19 when the Predators host Chicago.”

In addition to the increased attention to the Predators during the 2015-16 campaign, North America and NBCSN’s focus will shift to Music City during the final week of January. NBCSN will air expanded coverage of the NHL® All-Star Weekend in Nashville including the NHL Fantasy Draft™ (Friday, Jan. 29), NHL All-Star Competition™ (Saturday, Jan. 30) and conclude with the League’s showcase event, the NHL® All-Star Game (Sunday, Jan. 31).
