Predators Teacher of the Month named

by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators

Predators Teacher of the Month Ann Haley with GNASH and first graders from Wilson Elementary School.
On April 28, Mrs. Ann Haley and her class of first graders at Wilson Elementary School in Murfreesboro were treated to a surprise visit by the Predators mascot, GNASH, and Predators staff. Mrs. Haley was selected by the Nashville Predators as the Predators Teacher of the Month for Rutherford County. GNASH awarded Mrs. Haley a basket of Predators memorabilia and greeted the kids by giving hugs, high-fives and autographs. GNASH even played a couple of games of Hangman with the class. He concluded his visit with some salsa dancing with the students and Mrs. Haley, but not before getting the kids excited about the April 30 Predators playoff game against the San Jose Sharks.

"Mrs. Haley goes above and beyond the call of duty for her school. Her children and parents love her dearly and she is always presenting exciting projects through her classroom. Mrs. Haley is chairman of our School Improvement Committee, a grade-level representative, and works with central office personnel in various programs. She is a loyal and dedicated teacher to her school and community."  - Jon Dinkins, principal of Wilson Elementary

The Predators Teacher of the Month program selects teachers based upon his or her principal's portrayal of how the teacher has impacted students and school faculty as well as others through community efforts. The Predators have selected a teacher from a different county in the greater Nashville area each month.
