Predators Reduce Roster to 53

Nashville, Tenn. (September 16, 2015) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Wednesday that the club has assigned forwards Justin Kirkland (Kelowna, WHL) and Anthony Richard (Val-d’Or, QMJHL), and defensemen Alex Carrier (Gatineau, QMJHL) and Aaron Irving (Edmonton, WHL) to their junior teams.

Nashville’s training camp roster is now at 53 players – 29 forwards, 18 defensemen and six goaltenders. An updated roster is attached.

The Nashville Predators open 2015 Training Camp on Thursday with physicals and a team meeting before hitting the ice for the first time on Friday at Centennial Sportsplex (9:35 a.m. CT). The team’s preseason opener comes Sunday when they host the Florida Panthers for a doubleheader (3:30 p.m./7 p.m.).

The Preds begin the regular season at Bridgestone Arena by hosting the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. (FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game).
