Predators Reduce Roster to 51

Nashville, Tenn. (September 20, 2015) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Sunday that the club has assigned defenseman Jack Dougherty (Portland, WHL) and goaltender Evan Smith (Victoria, WHL) to their junior teams.

Nashville’s training camp roster is now at 51 players – 29 forwards, 17 defensemen and five goaltenders. An updated roster is attached.

The Nashville Predators open the preseason with a doubleheader Sunday against the Florida Panthers at Bridgestone Arena (3:30 p.m. CT/7 p.m. CT). Exhibition contests continue Tuesday at Tampa Bay (6:30 p.m. CT), and back home against the Lightning on Wednesday night (7 p.m. CT).

The Preds begin the regular season at Bridgestone Arena by hosting the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. CT (FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game).
