Predators recall goaltender Rinne

Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the club has recalled goaltender Pekka Rinne (PECK-ah REEN-ay) from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Rinne, 23 (11/3/82), has posted a record of 30-18-2, a 2.82 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage with Milwaukee this season, the first campaign of his North American professional career.  In one previous stretch with Nashville this season, the 6-5, 207-pound native of Kempele, Finland earned his first NHL win in his first NHL start, a 5-3 decision vs. the Chicago Blackhawks on December 15, 2005.

The Predators' roster stands at 27.

Nashville (43-23-8) hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets (31-40-3) tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  The game will be televised locally on FSN South and broadcast on 104.5-FM The Zone.
