Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Kevin Klein
from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Klein, 21 (12/13/84), leads Milwaukee defensemen with 38 points (9g-29a) in 61 games this season. The 6-1, 195-pound Kitchener, Ont. native made his NHL debut with Nashville on December 3 vs. Philadelphia, logging 13:56 of ice time. The second-year pro was originally Nashville's third choice, 37th overall (second round), in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
The Predators' roster stands at 23 with four players (Mark Eaton, Danny Markov, Yanic Perreault and Scott Walker) on injured reserve.
Nashville (36-19-7) takes on the Vancouver Canucks (35-23-5) tonight at 9:00 p.m. CT at GM Place. The game will be televised locally on FSN South and broadcast on SportsRadio 560-AM.
The Predators open a four-game homestand at the Gaylord Entertainment Center next Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. against Vancouver.
