Peter Laviolette has plans for 2018 NHL All-Star Weekend.
With his team's 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday, the Nashville Predators head coach locked up his spot behind the bench for the Central Division All-Stars at the 2018 NHL All-Star Game in Tampa Bay, Florida, at the end of the month.
Thanks to the victory, the Preds own the highest point percentage (points earned divided by total possible points) in the Central Division at the halfway point of the regular season, the determining factor of choosing the All-Star coaches.

"It's an honor to be able to participate in All-Star Weekend," Laviolette said. "It's a great reflection on everybody in our organization, and I'm honored to be a part of it."
Nashville's mark of 54 points in 41 games tops the other division contenders, ensuring Laviolette will make his second All-Star appearance in four seasons with the Preds. Laviolette coached Team Toews to a offensive record-breaking 17-12 win over Team Foligno at the 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend in Columbus, Ohio.
Laviolette will join Preds blueliner P.K. Subban, who was voted the Central Division All-Stars captain for the second consecutive season earlier in the month, at the
festivities in Tampa Bay from Jan. 27-28
. The rest of the All-Star representatives will be announced by the NHL on Wednesday, Jan. 10.
