Nashville, Tenn. (November 12, 2022) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has recalled forward Juuso Parssinen from Milwaukee (AHL). Additionally, the team has reassigned defenseman Jordan Gross to Milwaukee (AHL).

Parssinen, 21 (2/1/01), has posted nearly a point-per-game in his first 10 contests with the Admirals, tallying two goals and seven assists. The 6-foot-3, 212-pound center has helped Milwaukee (7-4-0-0, 14 points) jump out to first place in the AHL's Central Division, a record bolstered by a six-game win streak from Oct. 26-Nov. 5 in which he tallied eight points (2g-6a), including a four-point effort (1g-3a) on Nov. 2 at Rockford. Parssinen has recorded at least one shot on goal in all but one game and has two multi-point outings in his last four games after tallying a goal and an assist on Wednesday vs. Chicago. He joined Milwaukee for the Calder Cup Playoffs last season and went on to post three points (1g-2a) in nine contests.
Originally drafted by the Predators in the seventh round (210th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft, Parssinen is skating in his first North American season after appearing in 134 Liiga games with TPS from 2018-22, posting 87 points (23g-64a). In 2021-22, Parssinen led his team to the league final, where they fell to Tappara in five games, 4-1. The Hämeenlinna, Finland, native was third on his team and fifth among all Liiga skaters in postseason points with 12 (4g-8a); his playoff performance followed a regular season in which he scored a career-high nine goals and was second on TPS in assists (23) and third in points (32). Parssinen, who served as an alternate captain for TPS for the second straight season, was also fifth among Liiga U-22 skaters in assists and tied for sixth in points. In addition to earning bronze with Finland's 2021 World Junior Championship team, Parssinen competed in the 2019 U-18 World Championship and the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup; he also skated in the 2019 Spengler Cup with TPS.
