Nashville, Tenn. (August 13, 2021) - Many of the Nashville Predators' top prospects - including Philip Tomasino, David Farrance and several players selected by the team in July's 2021 NHL Draft - will participate in the team's 2021 Development Camp from Aug. 16-19 in Nashville.
The camp officially opens on Monday, Aug. 16 with team meetings, off-ice testing and the first of the week's six on-ice sessions. Prospects will also hit the ice twice on both Tuesday, Aug. 17 and Wednesday, Aug. 18, with a skate focused on skill development scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 19. All practices will take place at Centennial Sportsplex.

The camp will culminate with a four-on-four Future Stars Game on Thursday, Aug. 19 at 5 p.m. CT at Ford Ice Center Bellevue. Tickets to the Future Stars Game are complimentary; Predators Season Ticket Citizens will receive priority access and can reserve their tickets via a Formstack link that will be sent out, while limited tickets for the general public will be available upon entry to Ford Ice Center Bellevue or via a sign-up link that will be sent out through the Predators' official social media accounts. The Future Stars Game will also be streamed live on NashvillePredators.com with Willy Daunic, Chris Mason and Lyndsay Rowley on the call.
That same day, beginning at 3 p.m. CT, Ford Ice Center Bellevue will host several activities, including a Preds party in the parking lot that will feature giveaways, street hockey shooting games for kids, partner activations, face painting and appearances by GNASH and the Predators Energy Team. Fans are also invited to stop by Draft Picks, the full-service restaurant and bar located on the second floor of Ford Ice Center Bellevue, to try out the new food offerings on the menu ahead of the coming hockey season.
All sessions of the team's 2021 development camp are open to the public and media members. Sessions will take place at either Centennial Sportsplex or Ford Ice Center Bellevue. Please note that as a building owned and operated by the city, masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times at Centennial Sportsplex. Masks are recommended for all visitors at Ford Ice Center Bellevue.
The purpose of the camp is to educate and direct players in their pro development and conditioning programs. The week's events will be headed up by Predators Director of Player Development/Milwaukee Admirals GM Scott Nichol and Strength and Conditioning Coach David Good, with assistance from the rest of the Predators' and Admirals' coaching and hockey operations staffs. The training itinerary features a variety of on- and off-ice testing, dry-land activities and workouts, on-ice fundamentals work, video sessions, media and nutrition education and team-building activities. The prospects will also receive instruction on training principles such as sport-specific power and strength enhancement, flexibility and off-ice conditioning.
