Predators Add Sbisa to Active Roster, Reassign Smith to Taxi Squad

Sbisa, Entering 13th NHL Season, Was Claimed on Waivers from Winnipeg on Tuesday

Nashville, Tenn. (January 15, 2021) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Friday that the team has placed defenseman Luca Sbisa on its active roster and reassigned forward Cole Smith to its taxi squad.

Sbisa, 30 (1/30/90), was claimed on waivers from the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. Last season, the 6-foot-3, 204-pound blueliner tallied 10 points (2g-8a), 37 penalty minutes and a +1 rating in 44 games with the Jets.

Smith, 25 (10/28/95), made his NHL debut with the Predators in Thursday's win over Columbus, posting a shot on goal in 5:57 of ice time.
