Nashville, Tenn. (June 20, 2016) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the club has acquired Minnesota’s third-round selection, 76th overall, in the 2016 NHL Draft, from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for forward Jimmy Vesey.
The Predators now have eight selections in this weekend’s draft, held at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo. The first round will commence on Friday night at 6 p.m. CT with the Predators holding the 17th overall selection, then continue with Rounds Two through Seven on Saturday at 9 a.m., with Nashville owning the 47th, 76th, 78th, 108th, 138th, 168th and 198th overall selections.
Predators fans are invited to find out who the team will select with the 17th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft by attending the 2016 NHL Draft Watch Party at Tavern ’96 on Friday, June 24, beginning at 6 p.m. Fans can then return to Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, June 25, for the Fourth Annual Nashville Predators Craft Beer Festival, presented by Orca Coolers, from 4-8 p.m. to sample beers from more than 60 breweries on the Arena concourse.
