The anticipation of a second Stanley Cup Final game in Nashville was hard enough to bear, but with the Predators presented the opportunity of tying the series with a win, the pressure was far too much.
Injured Preds forward Ryan Johansen was named the city's honorary mayor by Mayor Megan Barry earlier in the day, as the hours ticked down until puck drop. There were also songs written, and astronauts saluting the team from space, of course.

Plus, P.K. Subban's breath was the center of attention for a couple more tweets.

"The Great One" was in the house to catch his first taste of Stanley Cup Playoffs action in Nashville and several fellow celebs couldn't let the photo opportunity pass them by.

A two-goal second period, and perhaps Pekka Rinne's most dominant performance of the postseason led Nashville to a 4-1 victory and a Stanley Cup Final all square at two games apiece.

From there, the praise of Preds' fans rained down. More and more and more.
Remember, it's only bragging if you don't act surprised when you hear the compliment.

Lastly, some more of our favorite photos and video from the evening.
