Two days after Pekka Rinne was nominated for the Vezina Trophy as the League's top goaltender, it's now time for a Nashville Predators blueliner to garner some attention.
Preds defenseman P.K. Subban has been named one of three finalists to capture the 2018 James Norris Memorial Trophy as the League's top blueliner. A winner of the Norris Trophy in 2013 with the Montreal Canadiens, it's the third time Subban has received a nomination and his first as a member of the Preds.
Subban set a career high in goals during the 2017-18 season with 16 and was one point (59) shy of matching his best mark of 60, which he set in 2014-15. He led Nashville defensemen in assists with 43 and was the only Preds player to appear in all 82 games this season.

Among all NHL defensemen, Subban tied for fourth in goals (16), tied for eighth in points (59) and tied for 13th in assists (43). From Dec. 13 to Feb. 22 he produced 30 points (11g-19a) in 31 games, highlighted by eight multi-point efforts.
Victor Hedman of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Drew Doughty of the Los Angeles Kings are also up for the Norris Trophy.
The winner will be announced live on June 20 at the 2018 NHL Awards in Las Vegas, hosted at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
