Preds prospect Cal O'Reilly scored a goal in the 2009 AHL All-Star Game on Monday night, but it was not enough as PlanetUSA rallied for nine third period goals -- including the final four scores of the night -- to beat the Canadian AHL All-Star Team 14-11.
O'Reilly scored with 1:35 left in the second period to put the Canadian team up 7-4. Fellow Preds prospect Cody Franson picked up an assist 55 seconds later on Derek MacKenzie's goal, giving the Canadian All-Stars an 8-5 lead after two periods of play.
PlanetUSA scored three times in the first 4:03 of the third period to tie the game. After the Canadian team scored at 7:01 and 7:55 to regain a two-goal advantage, PlanetUSA netted six of the game's final seven goals to pick up the win.
Preds prospect Mike Santorelli, winner of the Accuracy Competition during Sunday's AHL Skill's event, was scoreless in the game with two shots on goal.
