The Predators open their 2013-14 home slate against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the first of a five-game homestand at Bridgestone Arena that will see Original Six member the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Islanders, Florida Panthers and Los Angeles Kings all visit the Music City.
For fans, the fun begins at 4 p.m. with a gold carpet entrance presented by Nissan for the Nashville Predators players, coaches and broadcasters, all of whom will be escorted by a Season Ticket Holder. Directly following the Smashville-style entrance is a plaza party presented by Lee Company with live music, inflatable games, visits from Gnash and the Nashville Predators Energy Team and more! All fans in attendance at the home opener will receive a commemorative Preds 15th Anniversary poster. In a continued effort to make Bridgestone Arena the No. 1 sports and entertainment venue in the United States, major upgrades have begun to the arena’s south entrance, completing Nashville’s newest entertainment corridor on the corner of 5th Avenue and Demonbreun. With more than $20 million in capital improvements this year, the Bridgestone Arena project includes a new south entrance and plaza area facing the Music City Center, a brand-new HVAC system, multiple LED video boards, along with a street-level pub and team store along both 5th Avenue and Demonbreun.
The Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena were recently ranked among North America’s top professional sports teams and entertainment venues.
In the 2013 edition of ESPN Magazine’s “Ultimate Team Rankings,” the Nashville Predators ranked as the 38th-ranked professional sports franchise, and 10th-ranked NHL franchise, in North America, including Top 15 rankings in the Fan Relations (11th), Affordability (12th) and Stadium Experience (13th) categories.
