Nominate a deserving player or volunteer!

by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators

Do you know a local youth hockey player or youth hockey volunteer that should be recognized for their outstanding contributions to their team and/or local youth hockey community?

The Nashville Predators will be introducing a program to recognize a player and volunteer in the Nashville area who demonstrate character skills that make youth hockey a better experience for all involved.  The Nashville Predators will be recognizing a Youth Hockey Player of the Month and a Youth Hockey Volunteer of the Month in Middle Tennessee beginning November 2005, and the program will continue through the 2005-2006 regular hockey season. All nominees are eligible for selection at any point throughout the regular hockey season.  Local coaches, parents, team mangers, friends and rink or league administrators may nominate individuals for either award.

Each month the Predators Amateur and Youth Hockey Department will select a winner in each category.  The Youth Hockey Player of the Month and the Youth Hockey Volunteer of the Month will each receive four (4) tickets for themselves and their family/friends to an upcoming Predators game. The winners will be recognized live at a Nashville Predators home game, will be featured here on the official Nashville Predators Web site and spotlighted in the team's Saber Tooth Times publication.  Additionally, both winners will receive a gift of acknowledgement for their efforts.
