by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators

Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned center Scott Nichol (NIH-kohl) to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League on a conditioning assignment.

Nichol, 31 (12/31/74), has missed 29 games with a broken foot suffered on November 5 at Los Angeles.  In 10 games with Nashville this season, the Edmonton, Alta. native has posted one assist, 24 penalty minutes and a +3 rating.

While on the conditioning assignment, Nichol remains on the Predators' 23-man roster.  The Predators' roster stands at 23 with one player (David Legwand) on injured reserve.

Nashville (27-12-4) takes on the Southeast Division-leading Carolina Hurricanes (28-10-4) on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. CT at the RBC Center.  The game will be televised locally on FSN South and broadcast on 104.5-FM The Zone.
