Nashville, Tenn. (January 17, 2019) The Nashville Predators will host the franchise's first-ever NHL 19 Tournament, featuring two play-in competitions at official watch parties leading up to the final on March 9 at Bridgestone Arena.
Sixteen teams - 15 from local media outlets and one comprised from the two qualifiers - will face off for glory at the Nashville Predators NHL 19 Tournament, with the champions earning a $5,000 donation to the charity of their choice courtesy of the Nashville Predators Foundation. Additional prizes for those who participate in the tournament finals include four tickets to a Preds home game and four P.K. Subban autographed copies of NHL 19.
"All of us have imagined playing for the Nashville Predators and with EA Sports NHL 19, cover athlete P.K. Subban brought the game we love a little bit closer to all of us in Smashville," Predators President and CEO Sean Henry said. "We know our fans are the most passionate fans in all of sports and getting the chance to compete in this tournament showcases another incredible way they take hockey to the next level. Not only will we find out who the best NHL gamer in Smashville is, but they will go head-to-head against members of our local media - who we know always talk a big game!"

Two winners will be selected from each of the qualifying tournaments at Official Nashville Predators Watch Parties on Jan. 23 at Topgolf and Feb. 5 at AJ's Good Times Bar. Those players will join forces when the virtual puck drops on March 9 and compete as one of the 16 teams to be crowned the official Nashville Predators NHL 19 Tournament champions.
