The NHL Department of Player Safety announced Predators forward Ryan Hartman has been suspended for one game for his hit on Avalanche center Carl Soderberg.
The Department said Hartman delivered an "illegal hit to the head" of Soderberg during the third period of Game 4. Hartman was assessed a minor penalty for charging on the play.

As a result of his suspension, Hartman will miss Game 5 presented by Ford at Bridgestone Arena on Friday night (at 8:30 p.m. CT).
This is the 23-year-old's first suspension at the NHL level. Hartman has appeared in all four of the Predators' Round One games against the Avalanche so far, recording the game-winning goal and his first-career playoff tally in Game 2.
