Nashville Predators Recall Three From Milwaukee

Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Chris Mueller (KRIHS MEW-luhr) and defensemen Jonathon Blum (JAWN-ah-thuhn BLUHM) and Ryan Ellis (RIGH-uhn EHL-ihs) from Milwaukee (AHL) in advance of tomorrow’s opening of training camp.

Mueller, 25 (3/6/86), is second on the Admirals in goals (12) and tied for third on the team in points (20). The West Seneca, N.Y., native has appeared in 19 games for the Predators dating back to the 2010-11 season, posting three assists. The 5-11, 203-pound forward finished the 2012 calendar year as the American Hockey League’s fourth-leading goal scorer (31).

Ellis, 22 (1/3/91), has suited up for 20 Admirals games in 2012-13, posting nine points (2g-7a). A season ago, the Hamilton, Ont., native made his NHL debut the day after Christmas (Dec. 26, 2011 vs. Detroit) and spent the second half of the season with the Predators, collected 11 points (3g-8a) in 32 games; the Predators posted a 22-8-2 record when he was in the lineup. The 5-10, 179-pound blueliner also saw action in three games during the 2012 playoffs.

Blum, 23 (1/30/89), has 12 points (1g-11a) in 34 games this season on the AHL level. The Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., native began the 2011-12 season with Nashville, and played in 33 of the team’s first 39 games, before being assigned to Milwaukee for the duration of the season on Jan. 6. During his rookie campaign in 2010-11, the 6-1, 191-pound defenseman notched eight points (3g-5a) in 23 games, and played in all 12 of Nashville’s postseason contests, posting two assists.
