Nashville, Tenn. (January 19, 2019) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Saturday that the club has recalled forward Colin Blackwell from Milwaukee (AHL).

Blackwell, 25 (4/28/93), has seven goals in 14 games for the Admirals, his first season with the team. Despite missing 27 games due to injury, he sits tied for sixth on Milwaukee in goals and has found the back of the net three times in his last three contests, including a two-goal performance on Jan. 12 vs. San Diego. Last season, Blackwell tallied 45 points (17g-28a) in 61 games with the Rochester Americans, the most among all forwards on the team. The 5-foot-9 center made his pro debut in 2016-17 with the San Jose Barracuda and has posted 63 points (28g-35a) in 132 career AHL games.

Originally drafted in the seventh round (194th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks, Blackwell played college hockey at Harvard University from 2011-16, posting 58 points (19g-39a) in 94 games. The Lawrence, Mass., native won an ECAC conference championship with the Crimson in 2014-15 and matched his career high in points with 19 (6g-13a) the following season, his senior campaign.
