Nashville Predators Reassign Salomaki; Activate Beck and Cullen

Nashville, Tenn. (January 8, 2015) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Miikka Salomaki (MEE-kah SA-loh-MA-kee) to Milwaukee (AHL) and activated forwards Taylor Beck and Matt Cullen from Injured Reserve.

Salomaki, 21 (3/9/93), scored a goal, put four shots on net and dished out a game-high seven hits in his NHL debut, a 3-2 overtime victory over the Dallas Stars on Thursday.

The Nashville Predators, who have gained points in 10 of their last 11 games to take over first place in the Central Division and the Western Conference, travel to Minnesota tomorrow for a second consecutive divisional match-up (1 p.m. CT, Fox Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game).

Nashville will take to Bridgestone Arena ice for two home games next week – first, on Tuesday, Jan. 13 against Vancouver (7 p.m.), then on Friday, Jan. 16 against Washington (7 p.m.), when former coaches Barry Trotz and Lane Lambert return to the Music City for the first time.
