by Press Release / Nashville Predators

Nashville, Tenn. (March 26, 2015) – The Nashville Predators announced today that individual tickets for the first round (Western Conference Quarterfinal) of the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. CT exclusively at all Middle Tennessee Kroger Outlets. The following day, Sunday, March 29, first-round playoff tickets will be available for purchase at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office at noon in conjunction with the Preds game against the Calgary Flames that afternoon at 4 p.m. Beginning Monday at 10 a.m., first-round playoff tickets will also be available exclusively online at ticketmaster.com for those in the Predators’ television viewing area.

“Taking in a playoff game at a sold-out Bridgestone Arena is an experience that is unlike any other,” Nashville Predators CEO Jeff Cogen said. “The chants, standing ovations and unparalleled energy from loyal Preds fans create a playoff atmosphere that is unique to Smashville. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are the most exciting competition in all of sports, and Preds fans do not want to miss this opportunity to see the Preds compete for the sport’s top prize.”

During the 2014-15 regular season, the Predators have had one of the best home ice records in the NHL, a record that includes three home winning streaks of six games or more and a franchise-record nine-game home win streak from Dec. 16, 2014 to Feb. 5, 2015. The Preds, who on Tuesday, March 24 set a franchise record with their 26th sellout of the season (17,113), may incorporate several initiatives to ensure this home-ice advantage continues through the upcoming playoffs.

For convenience, season-ticket holders who purchase first-round playoff strip-tickets (set encompassing all games in the opening round) will have the tickets loaded directly on to their Smashville Passport (season-ticket holder identification card). Nashville Predators Fan Relations Representatives (615-770-2355) will be available to assist season-ticket holders in forwarding tickets to shareholders.

Individual game tickets for the first round of the playoffs will be directly loaded on to the purchaser’s credit card. Fans will need to utilize the credit card used to purchase the tickets and a photo ID to gain entry into Bridgestone Arena. Any tickets placed at Will Call at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office will be able to be picked up on the day of the game only. All updates to these ticket access guidelines will be reflected in ticket information found at Nashvillepredators.com.

Stanley Cup Playoff series are best of seven and scheduled to be played in a 2-2-1-1-1 format, with the first round slated to begin on Wednesday, April 15. The top three teams in each division will make up the first 12 teams in the playoffs and the remaining four spots will be filled by the next two highest-placed finishers in each conference, regardless of division, in wild card slots. The first round will see the top division team take on the wild-card team with the lesser record and the wild card team with the better record will play the remaining divisional winner.
