It marks just the second time in the last seven seasons the Predators will open a season on Bridgestone Arena ice, and the first time they’ll host an Eastern Conference foe in Game No. 1 of the season since the franchise’s first-ever game 17 seasons ago (Oct. 10, 1998 vs. Florida).
The Preds will play two more times at home (Saturday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 14) before heading on the road for the first time this season. Opponents for these two games and the complete 2014-15 season schedule will be released on Sunday, June 22.
