Nashville Predators forward Mikael Granlund is moving on to the Gold Medal Game with Team Finland in the 2022 IIHF World Championship after defeating Team USA 4-3 on Saturday. Finland will face Team Canada for the championship on Sunday for the third straight year. The teams have split the past two meetings, with Finland winning in 2019 and Canada winning in 2021.

Granlund, who is also an alternate captain for Team Finland, has tallied eight points (3g-5a) in as many games in the tournament and is +3.

The championship game will be played on Sunday, May 29 at 12:20 p.m. CT In Tampere, Finland. The game will be broadcast on the NHL Network.
