by Alexis Tahara / Nashville Predators

Nashville, Tenn. (October 24, 2014) – Today, at 10 a.m., the Nashville Predators debuted the first episode of Beneath the Ice presented by NISSAN, a new web series that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Preds players, coaches and organization.

The first episode of Beneath the Ice centers around James Neal’s first training camp with the Predators and takes fans on a trip down memory lane as they get to relive the moments at the NHL Entry Draft that brought Neal to Music City. As Neal goes through his first Nashville Predators training camp, viewers get a peek behind-the-scenes of player photo shoots, practice and community visits.

Beneath the Ice is something unlike anything the Nashville Predators organization has ever done,” Nashville Predators President and COO Sean Henry said. “As an organization, we are always striving to listen to our fans and act accordingly, and access to behind-the-scenes content like this was something that our fans had been thirsting for, and it’s exciting to get to provide it to them through this new series.”

The 12-episode series is made possible by a partnership with NISSAN and is being produced by Gamma Blast, a Nashville-based agency that specializes in creating branded video content.

“We’ve been looking forward to this debut and the opportunity to provide Beneath the Ice to our fans and we’re grateful to our good friends at NISSAN for partnering with us to ensure that this new, never-before-seen content can be viewed by all of Smashville and beyond,” Nashville Predators Senior Vice President of Corporate Development Chris Junghans said.

Fans can watch Beneath the Ice presented by NISSAN here or on their mobile devices via the Smashville app (available in the iTunes Store and GooglePlay). Stay tuned to @PredsNHL on Twitter for more information on when to catch the next episode.
