NBCSN had the option to exclusively air 11 Nashville Predators games during the 2019-20 regular season, so that's exactly what they chose to do.
After appearing on national TV a dozen times last season, the Preds will again hit their allowed total a year later with 11. And that's not counting their appearance in the NHL's premier regular-season game, the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic against the Dallas Stars at Cotton Bowl Stadium on Jan. 1, 2020 (at noon CT).
With the Nashville market and Predators fans driving ratings the last few years like never before, NBC executives keep showing off the Preds to a national audience as much as they can. Hockey fans across the country will be treated to Opening Night in Smashville when the Preds host the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 3 (at 7 p.m. CT). In total, NBC and NBCSN will air four home games for the Preds and eight road games, including a Wednesday Night Hockey appearance in Washington against Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals.
