Nashville Predators Add Four to Training Camp Roster

Nashville, Tenn. (September 18, 2014) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today the team has added defensemen Brian Lee and Mike Little, and forwards Matthew Campagna and Jon Puskar to the team’s training camp roster on tryout agreements.

Lee, 27 (3/26/87), did not play during the 2013-14 season due to injury, but has 209 NHL games to his credit with Ottawa and Tampa Bay since the 2007-08 season, amassing 36 points (5g-31a) and 124 penalty minutes. Ottawa's first selection, ninth overall (first round), of the 2005 Entry Draft played in three consecutive World Junior Championships for Team USA from 2005-07, being coached by Phil Housley and earning a bronze medal in his final appearance. The 6-1, 201-pound blueliner spent two seasons at the University of North Dakota (2005-07).

Little, 26 (11/12/87), has spent the majority of the past three seasons at the ECHL level with Stockton and Florida, while also appearing in three games for the AHL's Norfolk Admirals in 2013-14. The 5-9, 185-pound native of Enfield, Connecticut was a 2011-12 ECHL All-Rookie Team member after four years at American International College (2007-11).

Campagna, 20 (3/6/94), has spent the last four seasons with the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League, amassing 197 points (54g-143a) in 237 games. The 5-11, 181-pound center also claimed gold medals with Team Ontario at the 2010 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and with Team Canada at the 2011 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, where he played with Predators prospect Felix Girard.

Puskar, 25 (5/14/89), got into one game with the ECHL's Florida Everblades at the end of the 2013-14 season after a four-year career at American International (2010-14). In 131 collegiate games, the 5-11, 190-pound native of Canton, Michigan amassed 96 points (48g-48a), and was named to the Atlantic Hockey Third All-Conference Team as a senior.

Sixty-one players will attend 2014 Training Camp – 46 players under contract with Nashville, six on American Hockey League contracts with Milwaukee, five on tryout agreements and four unsigned draft picks. Thirty-six are forwards, 19 are defensemen and six are goaltenders.

Training Camp opens with physicals and a team meeting today at Bridgestone Arena, with the team’s first day on the ice coming tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 19 at 8:45 a.m. at Centennial Sportsplex. A updated training camp roster is attached.
