Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Wednesday that the club has acquired forward P.A. Parenteau from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2017 Entry Draft.
Parenteau, 33 (3/24/83), has appeared in 483 NHL games over parts of nine seasons with Chicago, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Colorado, Montreal, Toronto and New Jersey. He has earned 295 career points (114g-181a), including 27 points (13g-14a) in 59 games with the Devils this season. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound winger matched a career high with 20 tallies last season in 77 games with the Maple Leafs.

The Hull, Quebec native was drafted in the ninth round (264th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft by Anaheim. Parenteau has recorded four power-play goals, four power-play assists and two game-winning goals this season.
The Preds return to the ice tomorrow night at Montreal at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Tennessee and can be heard on the Predators' flagship radio station, 102.5 The Game.
