Milwaukee, WI--Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that the team will open their 2014-15 season on Friday, October 10th when they host the Charlotte Checkers at 7:00 pm at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Ads will play a 76-game, unbalanced schedule that will conclude over six months later when they play on the road in Chicago on Saturday, April 18th.
At the home opener, all fans in attendance will receive a schedule magnet of the 2014-15 season, while the team’s popular concert series and the rest of the promotional schedule will be released in the near future.
Under the guidance of third-year Head Coach Dean Evason, the Admirals will start their campaign at home for the first time in four seasons and just the third time in the past 10 years.
Once again Fridays will be the busiest night of the week for home games as the Admirals host 15 home contests on that day in 2014-15. The Ads will play seven times at the BMOBC on Saturdays, six on Wednesdays, five on Sunday, three on Tuesday and two on Thursday. February is the busiest month at home with eight games, while Milwaukee will host seven games in December including a season-long five game homestand from December 4th through the 12th.
The Admirals will start all games Tuesday through Saturday at 7:00 pm, while Sunday contests will begin at 3:00 pm, with the exception of March 8th which will be a 4:00 pm contest and will be proceeded by the annual Battle of the Badges.
Milwaukee will face their longest roadtrip of the season with six games from March 10th through the 17th. In addition, the Ads will play just three 3-in-3s: three games in three consecutive nights, six fewer than last season and the fewest number since joining the AHL in 2001.
The Admirals will compete in the Midwest Division of the Western Conference, along with the Chicago Wolves, Rockford IceHogs, Grand Rapids Griffins, and newcomers to the Division, the Lake Erie Monsters. The Ads will play 44 of their 76 games within their own division with 12 games each against the Wolves and IceHogs, and 10 versus the Griffins and Monsters.
Milwaukee will play their remaining 32 games against teams from the North and West Division, which includes every team in the Western Conference. The Ads battle the Iowa Wild eight times and Charlotte, the Texas Stars, and Oklahoma City Barons four times while they will have a home-and-home set with the Adirondack Flames, the lone new team in the AHL this year, Hamilton Bulldogs, Rochester Americans, San Antonio Rampage, Toronto Marlies and Utica Comets.
Individual tickets for the 2014-15 season will go on sale at a future date. However, season tickets are now on sale, starting at just $185. For more information, or to purchase season tickets, fans can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
