Nashville Predators prospect Jack Matier could represent his home country on the world stage once more this winter.
The 19-year-old defenseman, selected by Nashville in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft, will compete for a spot on Canada's National Junior roster at the team's selection camp in Moncton, New Brunswick this weekend after receiving an invite.

If he makes the cut, it would not be the young blueliner's first time skating for Team Canada.
Matier - who currently has 26 points (9g-17a) in 25 games with the OHL's Ottawa 67's - won gold with Canada's U-18 national team at the 2021 IIHF U-18 World Championship.
The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native will work to earn his roster spot during two games against a U-Sport Atlantic Conference All-Star team on Sunday, Dec. 11 and Monday, Dec. 12.
The team's final roster will be announced following the camp's conclusion.
