The Nashville Predators are making their final trip of the 2018-19 regular season to California, and it begins tonight in Anaheim with a date against the Ducks. It's the third and final meeting of the campaign between the two clubs; the Preds have collected three out of a possible four points against Anaheim thus far.
Nashville saw their two-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, as they fell to the Carolina Hurricanes by a 5-3 final at Bridgestone Arena. It was a back-and-forth affair that saw the Preds trailing the Canes throughout the night, never able to even the score after Carolina jumped out in front, 2-0.
As the Predators head out west, the focus remains on sharpening their game with just 12 outings to go before the postseason arrives.

"We have to play with a lot of desperation in these last 12 games," Preds goaltender Pekka Rinne said. "It's not a big number, and it goes by fast and quick. We keep saying it, but it really matters every single game. I think desperation is one word that we can use, but I'm very excited for this trip, three really good teams, and another chance for us to make the mark, leave a mark. I'm very excited about it."
Filip Forsberg missed Saturday's game due to an upper-body injury, but he did practice on Monday before the Predators travelled to Anaheim. Viktor Arvidsson was absent from Monday's practice.
