The homestand continues, and the Nashville Predators hope the winning will too as they host the Florida Panthers tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
It's the first of two meetings this season between the clubs; the Preds have victories in four straight and are currently on a five-game point streak, even without the services of forwards Filip Forsberg (Injured Reserve), and more recently, Viktor Arvidsson (IR).
Even so, Nashville has still managed to outscore their opponents 12-9 over the past five outings while missing two of their top three scorers.

"The way players are stepping up, it seems to be someone different every night," Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis said after Thursday's win over Arizona. "That's what championship teams do. They find a way to win. It's not always pretty. I thought tonight we did a lot of good things. Tonight was one of our better offensive games, but good saves, bounces, whatever it may be, it was a close game and we found a way to win."

Last Time Out:
Ellis tied the game late in regulation, before Kyle Turris and Craig Smith scored in the shootout to give the Predators a 3-2 shootout win over Arizona. Scott Hartnell also tallied his seventh of the campaign, while goaltender Pekka Rinne recorded his 22nd win of the season.
Defenseman P.K. Subban is Nashville's active leading scorer with 33 points, followed by Roman Josi and Kevin Fiala with 27 points apiece. Craig Smith has recorded 15 goals on the season, Fiala has 11 and Calle Jarnkrok has 10.
The Opposition:
The Panthers came off of their bye week on Friday night by posting a 4-3 overtime win against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Jonathan Huberdeau leads the club with 45 points, followed by Aleksander Barkov with 43 and Vincent Trochek with 42. Trochek, Huberdeau and Barkov also lead the team in goals with 17, 16 and 15, respectively. Goaltender Roberto Luongo remains injured for Florida, but James Reimer carries a 13-12-5 record and has seen the majority of action in Luongo's absence.

All-Time Meetings:
The Predators are 12-10-3-1 all-time against the Panthers, including a 7-4-2-0 record at Bridgestone Arena. Nashville is looking to snap a two-game skid at home to Florida after previously winning six in a row at Bridgestone Arena from Oct. 27, 2007 to Nov. 22, 2014. Overall, the Preds have earned at least a point in six of their last 10 games against the Panthers.
Notables Versus Florida:
Roman Josi has six points (2g-4a) in eight career games against Florida, while P.K. Subban has at least a point in five of his last six games against the Panthers and in 21 career games against them has two goals and 11 assists. Ryan Johansen has seven points (2g-5a) in 12 career games against Florida.
