NEW YORK/TORONTO (March 27, 2006) -- Nashville Predators forward Darcy Hordichuk has been suspended for three games, without pay, as a result of an altercation during NHL game #1057 against the Los Angeles Kings on March 25.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Hordichuk will forfeit $6,887.75. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
Hordichuk was assessed a minor penalty for roughing and a misconduct for an incident that occurred at 5:08 of the second period when he initiated an altercation with the Kings' George Parros.
Hordichuk will miss games at Phoenix March 28, versus Detroit March 30 and versus St. Louis April 1. He will be eligible to return April 3 against Columbus.
