During that time, Jokinen has skated in 1,169 contests, tied for 12th among active NHLers. He also leads the NHL in games played since the start of the 1999-2000 season, with 1,095 to his credit. A seven-time 20-goal scorer, Jokinen will be relied up to provide veteran leadership in the locker room this season. The Finland native will likely be among the Preds top-six forwards and see time on the power play as well. In 2013-14, Jokinen surpassed the 40-point mark for the 10th consecutive NHL season.

What They’re Saying:

Olli Jokinen: “Playing against Nashville over the years, it’s always been a fun place to come and play. The building is full, and the fans are pretty loud. It’s nice to be part of that now, being the home team and to be a part of Nashville.”

David Poile:Olli Jokinen is a proven veteran center who will provide us with size, leadership and offensive ability in the tough Central Division and Western Conference. He provides our coaching staff with more depth and options at the forward position and coach Laviolette believes he is a good fit for our style of play.”
