Geoffrion, Smith Play For Chance at NCAA Title

Preds prospects Blake Geoffrion and Craig Smith lead the University of Wisconsin into action today in the first semifinal game at the NCAA Frozen Four. The game is set to start at 4 pm CT from Ford Field in Detroit. Click here for live stats updates.

Wisconsin faces RIT in today's first game, followed by Boston College vs. Miami (OH) in the late semifinal.

Geoffrion, a second round pick by the Preds in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, has scored 27 goals and 48 points in 38 games this season. He was named the Most Outstanding Player in the West Regional after posting two goals and five points in the two games of regional action.

Smith, a fourth round pick by the Preds in last summer's Entry Draft, has scored seven goals and 32 points in 39 games during his freshman season at Wisconsin. He was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team this season.
